Electrical Person
An Electrical Person with experience in Surface Solution Providers (Liquid Painting and Powder
Coating) Plants Manufacturing would have a broad range of responsibilities, primarily focusing
on electrical systems, PLC programming, and plant commissioning. Here’s an outline of the key
responsibilities for such a role
Electrical Systems Design and Installation:
- Responsible for the design and installation of electrical systems for liquid painting and
powder coating plants.
- Oversee electrical wiring, power distribution, and control panel installation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:
- Develop, implement, and troubleshoot PLC programs (e.g., SKADA, DELTA, HMI
systems) for controlling the painting and coating processes.
- Monitor and adjust control sequences to optimize production efficiency.
- Program logic controllers for various automated systems used in the plants, including
conveyor belts, spray booths, and curing ovens .
HMI Configuration:
- Configure and maintain Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems for easy operation and
monitoring of plant processes.
- Customize HMI screens to display relevant data and troubleshooting alerts for
operators.
Field Wiring and Electrical Connections:
- Supervise and manage electrical field wiring during the erection and commissioning
phases of the plant.
- Ensure proper installation of cables, terminals, sensors, and actuators in compliance
with plant requirements.
- Perform field tests and troubleshooting of electrical connections during commissioning.
Erection & Commissioning of Plant Equipment:
- Lead the electrical erection team to set up electrical systems during plant construction.
- Assist in commissioning and testing equipment, ensuring electrical systems operate as
intended in conjunction with the mechanical and automation systems.
- Conduct performance checks and debugging for smooth plant start-up.
Maintenance Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide ongoing support for electrical maintenance and repair activities for the plant.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, equipment failures, and power interruptions.
- Optimize electrical processes to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical work is properly documented, including schematics, wiring
diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Ensure all electrical systems and processes meet the regulatory and safety standards
for the industry.
- Prepare technical reports and provide training to operators and maintenance staff on
system functionalities.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, process engineers, and project managers to
ensure smooth integration of electrical systems into the overall plant setup.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure the necessary electrical equipment
and materials for the plant.
Safety and Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the plant meets safety regulations in all electrical
installations and operations.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to reduce electrical
hazards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Suggest and implement improvements to electrical systems to enhance plant
efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall reliability.
